
Salma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jamesenez , on September 2, 1966, is an American and Mexican actor and producer. Her film career began in Mexico which she played in the telenovela Teresa (1989-1991) as well as the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) which brought her an Ariel Award nomination. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) were but some of her many Hollywood credits. Hayek's portrayal as painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002) and the film she also produced, made her the first Mexican actress to be recognized for the Academy Award for Best Actress[6In addition, she earned her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek appeared in the action-oriented Once Upon a Time in Mexico films in the subsequent time and then devoted herself to producing.
